BURCHETTS GREEN CE INFANT SCHOOL
Living life in all its fullness - an opportunity to flourish (John 10:10)
At Burchetts Green we all adhere to the school's Christian ethos
which is expressed through our vision and its associated values
'Living life in all its fullness - an opportunity to flourish'
Trust, Compassion, Forgiveness, Endurance and Courage,
Peace, Reverence, Thankfulness and Friendship
Our purpose is to provide a happy and secure learning environment,
where everyone is cherished and encouraged to flourish.
We firmly believe learning is a lifelong experience of which we are all part.
We understand that learning takes place when an individual feels
happy and secure and this comes through developing self-worth and confidence.
Burchetts Green CE Infant School is part of Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (a Multi Academy Trust).
At Burchetts Green CE Infant School, we aim to provide a personalised education which brings out the best in every child spiritually, emotionally, morally and socially; building on their strengths and enabling them to develop a life-long love of learning. We ensure that all learning is taught enthusiastically through a range of real and creative experiences and we believe that motivation for learning is promoted through a child-centred, enquiry based approach which celebrates the success and achievement of all. Children are taught how to collaborate and work as part of an effective team so that they grow into confident and valued citizens who achieve their full potential.
The school was founded by the Church of England in 1868 on land given by the Clayton East family, who were at that time owners of Hall Place (now the Berkshire College of Agriculture) and the surrounding estates. The ecclesiastical architecture of the original building follows the general pattern of Victorian Church schools.
We are the smallest infant school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead; because of this we are able to provide a specialised environment catering for the needs of infant aged children.
Our school is in the heart of the village of Burchetts Green. We warmly welcome children from the surrounding areas and beyond.
We'd love to meet you! To visit to our school please contact Mrs Val Derrett on 01628 822926 and book a tour with the headteacher, Mrs Sheppard.
