Our school vision, Living life in all its fullness - an opportunity to flourish, is at the heart of everything we do; boosting the quality of our curriculum and providing an environment which prepares our children for life as happy, confident citizens.
One of the ways we do this is through Brainbuilders, which is our school-wide initiative which allows children to develop their learning collaboratively and creatively, sharing with you at home in an open-ended way.
We set 3-4 of these tasks every year and they are always linked to the current or upcoming topic, to promote relevance and engagement of learning for children. The task has an opening question and children are free to interpret it and represent their findings in any way they choose.
We would encourage working on this together, talking through ideas and enjoying extending learning together. There is no right or wrong way to complete the task - the only requirement is to use only 2 pages, but they can be as creative as they like about how to use the space.
Depending on the age of your child, the content on the pages might by done fully by them, or a combination of you and them (for example talking through ideas together, and you writing down what they have said, for a Reception child).
We will always ensure there is plenty of time to complete the task, as we are aware of busy lives - your child is welcome to bring it back into school as soon as it is completed, or wait until the deadline day.
