FoBGS was set up in 1989 to raise funds for a new school kitchen extension and classroom, since then it continues to support the school and children by providing fun events and activities throughout the year, as well as vital fund raising. 

Recent money raised has been used to revamp the playground, fund an art teacher and provide additional space for quiet reading rooms in the form of Shepherds huts.
